Join Donkey for an excellent
adventure this Christmas
While Joseph and Mary stop at the services for a loo break and a latte, Donkey reflects on his life – and he’s not feeling too chipper about it: no family or friends, a flabby gut and spindly legs.
Poor Donkey begins to doubt his ability to carry Mary safely on her way at all. What he needs is an escape route, before he lets everybody down. Luckily for him, time-travelling cow, Dr Moo, is passing at that very moment, and the pair fly off on a journey through space and time.
It’s a quest that leads them to a host of characters and adventures, but how will Donkey find the significance he’s searching for? And, with Donkey all over the place, how will Mary and Joseph ever make it to Bethlehem?
The Xmas Factor is written by Liz Jennings, produced by Jason Hodges and performed by members of The City Church. Donkey’s Excellent Adventure is on at Simon Langton Boys’ School, with performances on Saturday 13th December at 4pm, and Sunday 14th December, 11am and 4pm. Entry is free, and mince pies and light refreshments will be served in the interval. For more information please contact The City Church offices on 01227 455440
